Getting Started
Getting started is easy! Simply create an account by clicking "Sign Up" and choosing whether you're a student or tutor. Students can immediately browse and book lessons with our verified tutors. Tutors need to complete their profile and go through our approval process before they can start teaching.
Creating an account on EduGlean is completely free. You only pay for the actual tutoring sessions you book. Our tutors set their own rates, and you can see the price per hour before booking a lesson.
We offer a wide range of languages including English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Swahili, and many more. For academic subjects, we cover Mathematics, Science, Art, Music, Biology, Chemistry, and other core subjects. Our tutor network is constantly growing to meet diverse learning needs.
Booking & Lessons
Browse our tutor profiles, read reviews, and check availability. When you find a tutor you like, click "Book a Lesson" and select your preferred time slot. You'll need to complete payment to confirm your booking.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, but trial lessons are 30 minutes. Check with your tutor about their available lesson plans.
Yes, you can reschedule or cancel lessons up to 12 hours before the lesson begins. Check our cancellation policy and your tutor's specific requirements for more details.
Payments & Pricing
Lesson prices vary by tutor and subject. Our tutors set their own rates, typically ranging from $10-$30 per hour. You can filter tutors by price range to find options that fit your budget.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods. All payments are processed securely through our encrypted payment system.
If you're not satisfied with a lesson, please contact our support team within 24 hours. We'll work with you and the tutor to resolve any issues, and may offer a refund or lesson credit depending on the circumstances.
For Tutors
Click "Become a Tutor" and complete your application with your qualifications, experience, and teaching credentials. Our team will review your application, and once approved, you can start accepting students and teaching lessons.
We require tutors to have relevant experience or qualifications in their subject area. This could include degrees, teaching certificates, native language proficiency, or demonstrable expertise. Each application is reviewed individually.
You set your own hourly rates based on your experience and subject expertise. Many of our tutors earn between $15-$50 per hour. Your earnings depend on your availability, student demand, and the value you provide.
Technical Support
You'll need a computer or mobile device with a camera, microphone, and stable internet connection. Our video platform works in most modern web browsers - no special software required!
If you experience technical difficulties, contact our support team immediately. We can help troubleshoot issues or arrange a makeup lesson if the technical problems significantly impact your session.
